Last Wednesday, March 26, 2008 Scoop brought you news of the new mini-series Demon’s Regret. The story follows the fallen angel Asmodeus. When Lucifer, also called Morningstar, decided to rebel against God and the rest of the angels, Asmodeus believed in his promises and joined Lucifer’s side. Unfortunately, when he realized that he’d made the wrong choice, it was too late to rejoin the angels.

Golden have no Sympathy For the Devil
Recently got a very interesting e-mail from Renee Witterstaetter whom I met at last years Gem City Con and saw again this fall at Mid-Ohio Con. She wanted to know if I would be interested in reviewing the first issue of a new three issue comic book series from Digital Webbing Comics entitled Demon’s Regret.

Asmodeus, the fallen angel, who regrets his path of evil but is powerless to change it, causes two great evils to collide… to Lucifer’s chagrin! Asmodeus assists a satan-worshiping serial killer in a breakout from his imprisonment for the criminally insane, only to direct his brutish violence towards a sex-trafficking — and heavily protected — crime lord, hoping to knock out two birds with one stone! Lucifer begins to get suspicious of Asmodeus as a traitor to the cause.

Its the classic good vs evil. Asmodeus the angel is drawn to look the part he is angelic but with another side to him he is one of the fallen ones. Asmodeus is stuck between a hard place and a rock. He does not want to be where he is but has no idea how to get out of it. Fred Hudson has a tale of woe. His story is heartbreaking. It will bring a tear to your eye.

The tantalizing question of our header today is one that is posited in the comic Demon’s Regret, due out in June by Digital Webbing Press ($3.99). The comic is the work of writer Mitch Brown, and his crack art team of Wilfredo Torres, Mike Kilgore, Nate Pride, and with an outstanding cover by the legendary Michael Golden. I came across Mitch’s comic a short time ago, and he very graciously provided me with an electronic copy, and I’d like to fill you in on the treat you will receive when you acquire a hardcopy of your very own.
