One of the things I never got a chance to quite finish was the Digital Webbing Presents store page. Well, I can write that off my to-do list. All 35 issues are posted. Looking at the page sure does bring back memories because it was a solid 6 years. Without Digital Webbing Presents, we probably wouldn’t be seeing BloodRayne, Fist of Justice, Team 14 and the many other titles planned.

Through DWP’s 6 year history, we’ve seen some major pros contribute; Michael Moorcock, Eric Powell, Scott Morse, Steve Niles, Bernie Wrightson, Jay Faerber, Brian Miller, Nick Bradshaw, Chris Eliopoulis, Anthony Castrillo, and Bill Pressing to name a few.

We’ve also showcased some of the newest talent who are now making names for themselves; Kody Chamberlain, Scottie Young, Greg Scott, Jon Sommariva, Jon Malin, Mahmud Asrar, Yildiray Cinar, Chad Hardin, Ben Hunzeker, Dustin Yee, Mitchell Breitweiser, JK Woodward, and the list grows with each passing day.

A while back DWP contributor Ian Ascher told me his local comic shop guy considered DWP to be the  equivalent of the “rookie card” for the comics industry. That’s a pretty huge compliment. Thanks for a great 6 years!

Was going through an old hard drive and stumbled across several pieces of art, unused covers, and all sorts of other goodies. So while we’re waiting for our next title to hit (Fist of Justice #2), thought it’d be cool to share these little treasures.

First up, a drawing from Andie Tong (Batman Strikes, Spider-Man UK). Andie drew Khenan in DWP #14 and one day, he just tossed this my way. A character based on the Digital Webbing logo. Pretty wild, eh?

Next up; a unused Fist of Justice cover.

Every once in a while, Diamond changes things to keep us on our toes. Usually when a book is delivered to them, it’s a 2-week turnaround until it hits comic shops. Been like this for the past half year, so you would think I have the system figured out by now, right?

Nope.

Either that or I got confused by the weeks. Hmmm… maybe I’ll stick with the first explaination. Ha! Either way, DWP34 hits better comic shops on July 5th. Run to your local comic shop to grab yourself a copy. It’s the first appearance of Dustin Yee’s Enigmas, and mark my words, you’re gonna be seeing more of them in some shape or form.

Okay, he doesn’t really. But Fist of Justice has been picked up by French company Dante Comics and will see his Digital Webbing Presents adventures reprinted and translated for release by the end of this year.

The graphic novel collection will include FOJ’s first appearance from Digital Webbing Presents #24 illustrated by Anthony Castrillo, his full-length chapters drawn by Chad Hardin, Yildiray Cinar, Dario Carrasco, and Anderson Nascimento. This collection is covered by an unpublished piece of art by Yildiray Cinar, so I’m extremely happy it gets to see print.

Look for Fist of Justice in France this November.

Speaking of FOJ, he returns this November in the final issue of Digital Webbing Presents (for now) #36. The plan is to continue FOJ in his own one-shots and mini-series. One of which is a crossover with E-Man and Shadowhawk. More details to follow as we get closer, true believers!
